Ellis Island

This kid loves the snow!  He was in it every chance he got, and he can throw a mean snowball.  Ellis Island was very cool.  I wish we could go back and check out the hospital.  There were a lot of journal entries and spoken accounts from people who came through Ellis Island.  One was of a little boy who couldn't leave the island for a few months because we was sick.  He talked about how much fun it was even being sick in the hospital because where he came from was so bad and the nurses were so sweet and they threw him a party when he was well enough to leave the Island.  There were a lot of stories from kids and the unity people created coming into America.  It really helped me to remember the America was built on foreigners and how great it is to have some many different people all around us all the time.

Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty was very cool.  We walked up all the stairs to the platform and man am I out of shape!  I tried to get a picture of Truman next to that huge statue head but he was terrified of it.  Lady Liberty's toes on the other hand, Truman found them irresistible and kept kissing them.  There was this Chinese father and son (maybe)  walking through the museum in front of us and they kept smiling at Truman and even took a picture of him...weird.  So, if any of you see Truman's face plastered on some billboard in China somewhere let me know, I should be receiving some sort of compensation for a baby this cute.

Rockefeller Center

Ummm...yeah.  30 Rock, Jimmy Fallon, anything Tina Fey!  We stood where they stood!  Also, check out that guy in the lower left.  He was dancing like crazy all over the skating rink and it was amazing, haha.

Sleeping Baby

This sweet boy is such a great traveler.  He just requires a blanket and some crackers and he will just fall asleep anywhere.  Seriously, we would be walking and look down and he would be conked.  Also, we may have been keeping him up too late and waking him up too early.  What a little trooper.
