Christmas 2011!

This was our first Christmas together and we spent it with Luke's family up in Washington.  We had a great time and many adventures!

  • Cutting down our own Christmas Tree
  • Luke and I riding bikes through the snow to the grocery store
  • Building an igloo
  • Me learning to ski
  • Visiting Jeremy and Ricki
  • Making Christmas Presents
  • Lots of movie watching
  • Building (half) of a GIANT snowman
  • Making some bomb snow angels
  • ...

It took Luke, Valerie and me two days to build this igloo, but it was definitely worth it once we finished!

Perfect fit for Ben and Joseph

On our way to 'surprise' visit Jeremy and Ricki we had quite the adventure in the motor home...
We were driving and all of a sudden the motor home started to fill with smoke.  No one was for sure where is was coming from and it was a bit scary!  It settled after a bit and when you walked a light cloud of dust would  come up from the carpet!  As it turns out...a diaper bag had fallen on top of the fire extinguisher and set it off! It was pretty funny after we found out the cause of the mysterious fog.

The culprit
We met some new friends at church so we invited them over for dinner one night.  It was a lot of fun, the shop got cleaned out so that we were able to play volleyball, basketball and jump on the trampoline.

Mistie, Luke and I were upstairs one evening when Ben came wondering up with a lollipop.  He pulled up a chair and just sat there contently while we talked.  At one point he stood up and walked over to a bean bag chair and started hammering it with his sucker and then went and sat back down...then he got up and did it again, expect this time he brought up his sucker and there was a huge, nasty fly on it!  If it weren't for Mistie Ben would have eaten that gross fly!

Seconds before 'the incident'
Luke and I tried to home make all of our Christmas gifts this year and it was a lot of fun!  I hope everyone liked them as much as we planned... We made a few other things but I didn't get pictures of them, I'm a little bummed about that.  Here are a few of the presents I did get pictures of though.

It was a very successful trip, we had a TON of fun.  Here are a few more random pictures from Christmas.
